Due to winter weather conditions South Newton Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26. It will be an e-learning day on a 2 hour delay schedule.

Student Council is hosting a blood drive on February 11th! If you are 16 or older, you can donate blood & help save a life!

Students who are 16 will need a signed permission slip (17-year-olds & older do not need a permission slip), which can be obtained in Ms. Doan's or Mrs. Kindig's rooms. Student donors need some form of ID that includes their name, picture, and birthday. If you do not have that, Ms. Doan or Mrs. Kindig can help you out. Student donors should eat real food (like a protein!) and DRINK WATER in preparation for donating! You will feel a LOT better and have a much smoother donation if you do those things.

HS Bulletin for the week of January 26, 2026.

The Freshman Boys Basketball game originally scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2026, has been rescheduled to Monday, January 26, 2026.

The Freshman Boys Basketball game for tonight, Thursday, January 22, 2026, vs West Central has been canceled.

Friday's boys basketball game at Demotte Christian has been moved to tomorrow night. 5:30 start.

Today, students in Mrs. Vena's SAT Test Prep class for Language Arts engaged with a relevant article about Artemis II, a program designed to restore human presence on the Moon for the first time since the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. Following this, they participated in an Interactive Quiz based on the article. Most notably, their names were submitted to be included on an SD card that will accompany the Orion spacecraft during the launch of the Artemis II mission next month. The students are shown holding their personalized boarding passes.
